Community Cleanup Day @ Paradise Ridge HOA | San Diego | California | United States

This past spring, the BOD initiated a trial community cleanup program. The campaign involved a small group of volunteers who walked the community/lake area collecting trash and other debris from common areas.  Volunteers also put down the flowers and mulching around the front sign and installed additional picnic tables near the lake front shelters.

Given the positive outcomes of the trial spring program, the BOD has agreed to schedule another expanded cleanup campaign this fall set for October 21, 2017 rain/shine/snow. The expanded campaign includes the rental of a large dumpster which will be located next to the mail center during that weekend.  The dumpster can be used by any home or lot owner to fill with qualified debris at no additional cost*.  This is a great opportunity to rid your house or property of unnecessary or unwanted debris so we hope for a positive turnout.

If you would like to volunteer to walk the community on the 21st, please respond to the BOD here.

*Rules and qualified debris:

All trash must be inside container and piled no higher than side walls. There is an extra charge for tires at $7/tire.  Please contact BOD to arrange reimbursement if you have tires you wish to dispose.

The trash collection company has stated that there aren’t any other prohibited items.  However, we have asked them to clarify regarding hazardous chemicals (oils, gasoline, paint, etc.), televisions, refrigerator items, etc.  Soon as we receive further clarification, we will post updates on any other prohibitions.  In the meantime if you aren’t certain on a specific item, please let the BOD know prior to the 21st and we will get back to you with an answer ASAP.

You can also consider directly dropping off any potentially prohibited debris directly at the Garrett County Landfill if they accept such items.
